Kosciusko Orthoquartzite is associated with the Kosciusko Formation of Mississippi.  Primary outcroppings occur near the town of Kosciusko, Attala County, Mississippi.  There is  a 20 mile band in northern Mississippi runs from Carroll, Grenada, Montgomery, Newton, and Panola counties, Mississippi.
